WEIGH IN DEBARCLE IN DEHLI

Not happy our boys were put through this especially Jason & Andy who are in the lightest division and its always a fine line on the scales. Incompetence at this level is unacceptable! SMASH EM AUSTRALIA!!

After much controversey and flaring tempers the draw is done and at 1pm tomorrow the fights begin!! The debarkle has meant re-scheduling though and the boys will not be Boxing untill the 7th October! Tough days for the 'Nailgun' especially having to keep sharp and on weight (49kg) for 5 days withought fighting but Andy is tenacious and it will just make him fight harder!

SEEING DOUBLE!!

A double hit of 'Moloney Magic' is in store as they are both boxing on Thursday 7th. SO TUNE IN N BARRACK AUSTRALIA!!! Andy fights a Solomon Islands representative and after he kicks his arse its Northern Ireland hotshot and Beijing bronze medalist Patrick Barnes. What a fight that will be! We're sure Andy will do Australia proud n shake those shamrock boots!'The Smooth One' Jason puts it all on the line against Northen Irelands best in the 52kg and the fast rising young gun is gonna make them sit up in there chairs in this one, especially after his 13 point victory over Ghana's team captain Manyo Plange last month!! I'll say it again GO MOLONEYS'S 'Heart n Soul'

Moloney Magic touchdown in Delhi

East End Boxing hot shots Jason & Andrew Moloney and the rest of the Australian Commonwealth Boxing team arrived in New Delhi this morning at 3am local time and were setting up home in their rooms in the athlete's village at 6am this morning. The boys said the accommodation is quite good and were looking forward to a good sleep after their long journey.

At the moment the athletes are confined to the village and the boxing training centre and stadium. Due to security risks they are not yet allowed to leave the secured areas. We will keep you posted on any updates as they come to hand. If you would like to leave the twins a message go to the 'Moloney Magic in Dehli' page to wish them luck or ask them any questions you may have.

The Bobby Dunn Cup

The next date on Boxing Victoria's calendar is the Bobby Dunn Cup which will be held on Sunday October 10th at the Reggio-Calabria Cup. East End Boxing will be entering four of our boxers:

"Pocket Rockets" Victorian 34kg Junior champion George 'Inflicta' Payne & Victorian 38kg Junior champion Dean 'Clarkey' Clarke as well as Welterweight Ken 'Dog' Smoglian & Middleweight Paul Watson

So get down to the Reggio-Calabria Club on the corner of Brunswick Road & the Tullamarine Freeway in West Brunswick. First fight at 1pm sharp

Moloneys on Track

Jason and Andrew and the rest of the Australian boxing team have just left Canberra for Brisbane and the flight to Dehli via Singapore. I spoke to the pride of East End Boxing moments ago and they are both confident on winning medals. They have done the hard work and made huge sacrifices in the last two years to get a birth on the team and are focused and intent on winning! They are not just there to make up numbers. Andrew is currently rated no 2 and Jason no 5 in the Commonwealth and after their great wins over Ghana's top guns in Perth they will be looking to put in their best performance yet in Dehli! Andy is booked to fight on the 1st day of competition, October 5th, and Jason on the 2nd day. We will try to post times and opponents prior to their bouts so you supporters can watch on TV or set your recorders to tape them. From myself and the twins thank-you all so much for your support and encouragement! GO MOLONEY'S
